The Capital Ice Synchro IJS (International Judging System) teams will be skating across the United States this season. Travel will take teams to several different states and then to Midwestern Sectionals.
At the Sectional competition, teams will have a chance to earn a spot at the National Competition, which will involve even more travel.
Because the club is a not for profit organization, it greatly depends on fund-raising to keep costs affordable so all skaters have the opportunity to participate and compete.
We are holding our Duck Walk in an effort to help make our teams’ dreams become reality to return to the National Synchronized Skating competition. This will be possible with your help. Funds raised through this event will be used to support costumes, competition registration fees and travel expenses for the teams.
Whether by “adopting” ducks or becoming a corporate sponsor, your help is greatly appreciated. The Duck Walk is a way for you to support youth synchronized skating in our community that includes well over 100 skaters this year. This is a highly visible and unique event that you can associate your name with. Thank you for your consideration. We hope to see a corporate rubber duck with your name on it on race day.
